We arrived at in Austin, Texas for the SXSW festival on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012. We were surprised to realize the copious amounts of free shows, alcohol, and swag that where available all around town. This of course came to everyone's advantage being that we would start our day off at these parties (getting drunk for free) then work our way to the shows later in the evening. The two shows that stood out the most had to be the MTV U Woodie Awards, a free very easily entered event that provide free Saltlick bar-b-q, free alcohol, & a full line up of shows that included artist like A$ap Rocky, Mac Miller, and Steve Aoki. The second show being the Workaholics House Party, a free event that provided a free drink and beer to start your night and included a full line up of shows that included artist like Curren$y, The Cool Kids, & Trash Talk.

Throughout the trip we experienced a slew of great shows ranging from the well-known like J. Cole, to the up and coming like A$AP Rocky, to artist at the begging of their journey. While each show was interesting and unique in their own way there where 3 up and coming acts that stood out the most in our heads.
